Default mp3s on DVD not working in MyGig

I burned a DVD full of mp3s, and when I put it into the MyGig, it says "Invalid Media Type". Any suggestions on why? I did 3 separate DVDs, each with a different set of files, so I know it isn't a specific file or a specific disc causing a problem. I am using Sony DVD+R, burned on a Windows Vista machine.

It could be the bitrate of the mp3's but first I would make sure you use disk-at-once and make sure you finalize it.

In addition to this if you're still having trouble try burning it at a very low speed, 1x or 2x. General rule of thumb if you're having trouble with anything reading burnt discs, tends to be more reliable at lower speeds.

1.) Have you ever used these DVD's before in your vehicle? Some media (CD & DVD) simply isnt liked by the cd/dvd player. I've seen instances where certain brands of media are just junk.

2.) Did you place your media in folders? Mp3 discs have to have a file structure, or they will not play in most players.

3.) Did you burn the DVD correctly? If you are burning it as an audio disc, it will not play in anything. You have to burn it as a Data/MP3 disc. Depending on your burning program, that may be worded differently.

4.) As JohnTHooker indicated, make sure the disc is being finalized and not being left open. This will prevent the disc from playing as well.
