anyone know the frame size that holds the speakers ( or speaker size ) for the 2003 1500?? i went here http://www.mjmautoinnovations.com/dodge and it said that the front speakers are 6.5, but when i took off my door a while ago i remember the speakers being an oval like 6 X 9 or something like that. thanks!

 

I was wondering the same thing.....i went to a local place where they install speakers and he said it's probably a 6x9.

 

do you know if that was 6x9 for front and back?

 

The front's are 6x9 and the rear's are 5 1/4. I'm not sure what size is in the rear doors of a quad cab.

 

QC are the same size. Don't use Crutchfield for speaker sizes because they are wrong. My 05 has 6" by 9" in the front door, and 5 1/4 in the rear door and of course 3 1/2 in the dash with a 3" center.

 

I have a 2003 QC and the front speaker size is 6X9 and the rears are 5 1/4. I know when I was researching speakers, I also read on here where people have put 6.5's in the rear. So I'm not sure if the space is big enough to fit a 6.5 or not.

 

i know the 04's are 6x9 front and 6.5 back.

 

I thought that was my imagination- so there are 7 speakers in the quad cab? I was wondering why there were 3 3.25-ish inch grilles in the front dash.

 

the 7 speakers come with the Infinity system.
