Default New System Going in

Amp - Rockford Fosgate Power T8002 pushing one MTX 9500 15" all held together with a Tsunami 20 Farad Cap. I can't wait to hear it!

This is a deep sub so I'm not sure there is gonna be a way to make it look pretty after the install but I'll post some pics of everything once I have it all in place.

Have a panasonic head unit that will be upgraded as well, just not sure when.

Good luck man, it's always fun to see big systems in trucks. Can't say it's quite my cup of tea, 15's in my opinion on only good for SPL comps where volume and dB's are king, and sound quality isn't so much a foucs. Look into doing a big 3 upgrade if you havn't already, and post some pics of that monster (before, during and after please?)

Ok I got the custom box cut down but now that I'm looking at it... I may put this in my car and grab some more Type Rs for under the back seat of the truck.

Here is what I have so far. I forgot to take a pic of the complete custom box so I got a pic of it with only one side cut off.

Ok, bought this system for the truck but just can't fit it in there, gonna have to go in the car.

Question though. Wiring for the amp.
1 - I have the amp and capacitor grounded together to a distribution block. Is that OK
2 - The way this guy had this hooked up at the battery there is a 250A fuse but on the amp its a 150A fuse (recommended). Shouldn't these come pretty damn close to matching? maybe drop it to a 200A or make it match exactly?

Having the cap and amp share a ground is perfectly fine. I wouldn't mess wth the fuse sizes. The fuse on the power wire could probably go down, the last time I used a 250A fuse was in a 3 amplifier installation on 1/0awg wire. Leave the fuses be is my suggestion, if you did the install and tuning right, you'll never have to replace one.

nice set up m8, i agree with audioaddict, the grounding is fine. As for the main line fuse, its to protect the power cable and your electrical system, not the amplifier, just let be you should be good, also gives you expansion capability later. tc m8

I ended up putting this in the car. There was no way to fit it in the truck and leave enough room for the dog in the back.
