Default Amp off in ACC?

What would be the best way to turn the amp off while the the key is in ACC? I like to watch DVDs or a show on my iPod while I'm my lunch and don't want the amp on. I have Kenwood KAC-9104 and a Clarion VRX485 with the remote turn on lead hooked up. I'm thinking that putting a on/off toggle switch in the remote lead wire will do it, just not quite sure if it'll work or if it's the best solution. I'll appreciate any information. Thanks.

Having some sort of switch in line is about the only way to turn the amp on and off at will.

I know this thread a little old....but you could simply hook the turn-on lead to a switched ignition wire......instead of the turn-on lead.........

Could run it off an ignition circuit, but that cuts out the ability to have it playing at all during accessory position. Either would work, just depends on what you want.
