Default Uconnect problem in 2009 Dodge Ram Sport

Hello,

I have a 2009 Dodge Ram Sport build date 3-09... purchased and driven off the lot 5-2-09... i now have 2000 miles on it..

I have the RES head unit without navi, and with uconnect..

The uconnect is thru the rearview mirror. There are No bottons on the mirror other than the power button for the dimming feature for night time driving...

2 weeks after pairing my Verizon LG DARE to my uconnect, i was on the phone with my girlfriend one day via the uconnect, when she started complaining that she began to hear as if i were dialing in her ear. Then i heard a similar noise, and a squelch of some kind and then the call ended abruptly.... MY uconnect has not worked since. It pairs correctly, it has all its voice promts .. it hears what i say via the microphone, i hear it speaking to me, but when i dial any number and it starts the intro by saying .. CALLING 555 555-5555.... afterwards NOTHING happens .. all i hear is some hardly noticable static type noise .. the call never connects .. nothing ..
I need to know if there is a way to HARD RESET my 'newest version' uconnect and whats wrong with my system and should it be covered under warrenty ?
I tried to delete all paired phones ( mine was the only one anyhow ) .. and repair the phone .. ... same problem persists .. its getting annoying and i want it FIXED !

help please .. i'm over at the 2009 ram forums a lot but don't make it here often .. any help would be great . thanks !

Sounds like you got a sync problem somewhere.

I would take it to the dealer and have them reset it for you. It is a quick job. And yes it is warranty to have it done. Everything in the truck is under warranty for the first 36k miles, including electronics.

Quick job my *** 2 dealers total 14 hours to make my uconnect work. It is a big problem for dealers also. Now I am fighting with customer service as to why I have to pay more than the .5 hours agreed upon before they started. You see I install mygig REN radio myself and purchase the uconnect module and setup for that radio and my truck. Well the dealer has to starscan it. But for some reason one dealer worked on it all day, charged us over hundred bucks when it was supposed to be 52 plus tax. Not my problem they are not trained or the truck has a problem, they should have said after the .5 hours we can't do it sorrry. Next day same thing, but as I am on thephone a 5 to 5 with service guy and he is giving me bad news a tech comes over and said its working, turns out the day before the dealership did not starscan it in correctly, I guess 2 things need to be done radio and module need to be added to your computer on your truck so the starscan can find it, then if the star scan doesn't work, well that was the problem. Anyway they charged me the half hour plus another half hour because they got to a point where since I installed it all they have to verify installation, so I said can I take it apart and save myself some money...another half hour...hell I was thinking by now I could have bought a RER Nav unit. So after they gimme thumbs up on installation they even tried a different module.I understood completely, but I kinda felt that since the install was okay why should Ihave to pay...? But they are 6 hours into it and still at half hour.
Point of story ask them up front how long and how much. If it doesn't work don't pay. I only paid the first day cuz my poor wife was out there for 7 hours. We got smart left truck at dealer the next time kept up byphone . Shot over at lunch grabbed it and took it apart so they could check. Then home then 10 minutes to put it together and both mine and my wifes phones paired...lg dare and samsung something
Good luck man.

Mine works now have 2 different phones programmed but discovered have to add address book by hand on the REN. Now the RER, updates automatically. I think cuz the REN uconnect only handles 32 phone numbers. I havent even tried to play with it much since got it working, kinda like leave well enough alone.
