Default installing new head unit help!

i own an 07 qc with the premium 7 speaker system and i am going to be putting in a boss bv9990 head unit with 7 inch screen. the new unit pushes 85 watts per channel x 4 i'm going to use the radio replacement interface cable to make the install easier but i am concerned with the factory amp not letting the system reach its potential. Is there any way i can bypass the factory amp and just let the speakers run off the head unit. any hekp would be greatly appreciated thank you

Not 100% sure if this is the correct harness but you can try looking up Metra or another brand with 07 factory amp bypass harness

http://www.onlinecarstereo.com/CarAu...s_70-6504.aspx

if you back up a bit on the site and search all the wire harnesses I'm sure you'll come across one that's perfect.

A few things to mention as I read over your post.

1.) Boss sucks. You will be much happier spending a little more money now and not replacing the unit later because it doesn't do what you want/need it to do, it breaks, or both.
2.) This unit WILL NOT put out 85 watts per channel. You'll be lucky to see 85 watts if you add all 4 channels together. Boss does the exact same thing you see other junk companies like Sony, Pyle, Duel, etc do; Use inflated max output ratings to con uninformed consumers into buying a sub-standard product. In reality, you'll see roughly 15-18 watts rms out of any given channel.
3.) Your answer as to bypassing the factory amplifier should be based on the facts stated in issue #2. Your factory infinity system will sound better than your boss radio ran direct to your speakers, not to mention that you've got the 7 speaker package and the radio only has 4 outputs.

So in short, use the integration harness and seriously consider a better radio. If you're looking for an in-dash DVD unit without any sort of navigation or blue tooth features, a quality unit will run you at least $500.

im going to have to agree with audioaddict. that receiver is trash, a top of the line pioneer only puts out 22w rms. and thats at 749.00 for a flip out. id save up ur pennies and get a better unit.
