Default Viper 5901 Bypass Dodge Durango

I have a 2004 Dodge Durango and recently purchased the Viper 5901 2-Way remote start and security system. I have read that it is really complicated to get these installed and I also have been told that I will need a bypass kit. How or where can I find out which specific bypass kit I will need? Also, does anybody have any tips for the installation process? I will be taking it to a local shop that installs audio equipment and other things, but I am still nervous that it's going to be a big hassle after everything I have read.

I install them for a living and it is not that difficult.

If you have a gray top on your key (Sentry Key) you will need the immobilizer integration. If your key is black you will not need it.

There are many immobilizer integration modules on the market. One of them is called a 556uw that requires a key to be placed in the unit for it to work. Two other units will do this without sacrificing a key they are the CHALL and the DLPKKICH3 from expresskit. There are, also, modules from iDatalink that will do this. One is the ADS-AL CA.

If your going to a shop with a good reputation and honors their work with a warranty, you should be okay.
