7 Speaker Infinity Wiring Schematics
Yeah, it means if you don't wanna use that adapter, you gotta run new speaker wires to the amp and hook to the speaker wires on the output side of the amp. Thus bypassing it. You should be able to order that adapter online, or at any local stereo shop.(This does not mean Wal-Mart
) They are usually about $75-$100

I'm about to install a sub in my '07 Ram and I'm going to run into the same issue. Is there an easier place to get access to the speaker wires other that at the output side of the amp? I pulled the glove box out and it looks pretty tight in there. Some way to extend the factory harness so I could splice into the speaker wires on the output side would be ideal. I'm even wondering if would just be easier to get at the speaker wires in the door panels rather than try and splice in the couple of inches visible at the amp.
I'm assuming the CHTO-01 adapter isn't really useful for this situation since I'm keeping the factory head unit?
This was so much easier in my '04.

What an old post. I just traded in my 04' Ram for a new 07' Durango. Now I am looking for the wiring harness for my 07' I posted a new thread hoping to find it.
Have fun splicing in after the factory amp behind the glove box. When I recall originally posting this thread for my 04' I cut the crap out of my knuckles trying to splice into the rear speaker wires. It is real tight in there.
