Default NEED HELP PLEASE! Media Center 430(RBZ) Radio Wont Show Video When playing DVD's

I just got a brand new 2010 Dodge Avenger R/T today. They gave me one with the 6.5" Touchscreen Media Center 430(RBZ) CD/DVD/HDD Radio, it was only a extra $300 added onto the price of the car to have this radio put in so I got it. The salesman told me it plays DVD videos. Now I click the media button then I click disc and then put the DVD in then after a few seconds it loads and on the screen it says DVD Video and it shows the buttons like stop, play, forward, rewind and the time and chapter etc. It also says "List" at the middle bottom of the screen and when you touch that it just lists the chapters you can click on. Now heres my problem the sound works but the video is not showing up on the screen. Ive fidgeted with the thing for an hour, tried other DVDs and all I get is the sound and the screen looks like how it would look as if you were playing a audio CD on it except it says DVD Video instead of CD audio or whatever. How can I get the actual video to show up on the screen?

Default Me too

I'm having the exact same problem. I got the car yesterday. Talked to the guy that I bought the car from and hes going to check around and get back to me today. I downloaded the owners manual and it says.

"Playing a Video DVD
NOTE:
Viewing a DVD video on the radio screen is not
available in all states, and the vehicle must be stopped,
and the shifter must be in position P for vehicles with an
automatic transmission. In vehicles with a manual transmission,
the parking brake must be engaged.

First insert a video DVD."

The not available in all states worries me, I hope thats not the case.

Default Figured it out

Took me a couple tries but I got it. Its real simple, turn the car on as in fully on like you were going to drive it. Put the DVD in and the tab for VIEW DVD comes up. Enjoy watching
