Default Question about new radio

Hey guys I am new to the forum but have a quick question. I have a 2002 Ram Quad cab SB and am looking to replace my headunit. I am wanting to go with a double din navigation system like I found on the site below. Would I need to get a special wiring harness to hook this up?

Oh and I will replace the bezel to hold the unit because I know that the stock unit is not double din and will not fit without modification. Thanks guys!

Regardless of what type of HU you go with, you will want to purchase an adapter harness so you don't have to cut your stock harness. That gives you more room to work with the wire than crammmed inside your dash.
2 issue's. Any navigation isn't going to be plug and play as they have many other wires you need and want to hook up. reverse wire, parking brake wire..etc.. Although, they aren't a necessity to hook-up for the nav to work. i didn't hook up any other wire other than the basics and it did function.
I would do a little online research before installing it so you can figure out the bypass hack so to get DVD and Nav working while in motion. otherwise, you won't be able to change your destination or make any alterations to a street adress while in motion. Pretty silly right? Like you don't play with your stereo controls while your moving??? I had to bypass my Pioneer unit. Very easy to do, but all units are different. Mine for example has 2 hacks. One within the ROM of the unit and the other was moving the mute wire and grounding it out and also grounding the parking brake wire rather than hooking it up to the parking brake.
The other problem is getting a double din bezel as they aren't made for your year. Only 06+ years. I know Weedahoe was doing some bezel fabs and making cutom brackets as well so PM if you need that done. if he's not available, I can do the bezel up for you but the brackets i have nothing to compare against so that isn't possible. You also may need to cut up your dash slightly for fitment, but I'm not entirely sure on that one.
Hopefully weed'man' will chime in on this one.

PLEASE DO NOT get no cheap overseas HU like that. It has no support, no where to get it fixed, no one uses it so you would get no help. If you want something good i can fins Pioneer, Alpine and Kenwoods all day long for excellent prices.

My vote goes to The Pioneer AVICs. You can learn more about them on www.AVIC411.com

They can do everything there is to do and more.

As Dirty said, if you need a bezel and brackets just PM me.
