Default Pac-Audio steering wheel interface

So I installed an aftermarket radio knowing that I would need to get an interface to be able to use my steering wheel controls with it. I have the interface and am having alot of issues hooking it up. The instructions say hook the white wire of the interface to the red/black wire in the steering column. I hooked it up and it will not program. If there is anyway to get some help that would be great. This is on an 02 Dodge Ram 5.7L QC. It does have the infinity audio system.

Thanks,

Just to let everybody that is trying to do this know, In 2002 Dodge used two different wires for this. A red/black one or a white/gray one. I hooked the interface to the white/gray one and voila, it works now! If anyone is trying to do this same thing let me know, it's a pain but I got it figured out now.

THK for the info. I had one a long time ago but never liked it. I ended up using the remote for my HU more as I could keep it in my hand at all times.

Default How do you remove steering wheel shroud?

Hi Chris - I am trying to do this right now - install a PAC-Audio steering wheel control. I have a 2000 Dodge Dakota. My problem is that the 2 screws under the steer column are set in so far, I can't get my Torx driver in, and I'm not even sure what size torx it is.
(Why does Dodge make it so hard to take apart ?? !**@*@&*!)

Can you tell me which size Torx you used to remove the 2 screws under the steering column? Because I probably need to go out and buy an very long thin torx driver to reach them.
Thanks for your help...

I know this is an old thread, but hoping someone can still help. I signed up for these forums just hoping to get a response! Do you think the white/grey wire might work on the 2003 Dakota as well? I did the red/black one, and it is not working, however, my windshield wipers stop as soon as you turn the switch off instead of waiting until they're at the bottom of the windshield.
