radio and remote FOB
Removed my radio to check the connections. Navigation and Satslite radio weren't working. Found the power and ground wires soldered and taped. Removed fuse, cut wires at solder joint, so I could use shrink wrap on both. Resoldered connections, and covered with shrink wrap. Checked radio to see if it would work. Nothing. Added gound to radio chassis. Still nothing. Thought Oh S***. and put dash back together. Tried to lock the truck with the remote key FOB. Again nothing. Another Oh S***. About an Hour later I went to pickup my granddaughter. At 15MPH the doors locked automatically.
Experimentation: Engine off, Key off, No radio, no door locks either by remote or door switch. Engine on, and/or key on, locks will lock/unlock with FOB and door switch.
Does this have something to do with the antitheft radio? The radio is a Harmon Kardon DB4.
