IMHO I would go aftermarket. You get a lot more bang for your buck. Pioneer has a good selection and just about all of there models have bluetooth. Also JVC has some affordable double din. Not cheap though. Expect to pay at least $700 for the head unit. Install extra.

I went with this Pioneer head unit from crutchfield.com for $799.00---Nav, bluetooth, voice command, Pandora, backup camera, USB & micro SD slot plus a lot more. Huge difference over factory. Lots of brands and options on their website.

I hear you, I have the same truck, and sounds like the same radio. Mine has the Sirius add on, but that's about it. The U-Connect can be added, but it would have to be done by the dealer, it's not plug and play. It's not a bad stereo, but I'd like more. I found some places selling the factory radios, but the prices are excessive at best. The one NAV radio I found was $1400, and that doesn't include install. So I'm looking aftermarket as well. $700-$800 doesn't sound so bad anymore.

I agree, go aftermarket. I too had the stock radio w/u-connect button but without the service. I personally prefer Clarion. They make top of the line products at a reasonable price. I just installed the NX501 Double DIN ($585). This unit has it all!! Bare in mind that going DD requires slight modification to your dash, they don't quite fit. Don't forget the Chrysler wiring adapter as well as the steering wheel interface. I can take pics upon request.
