'10 Ram Stereo Static Issues - HELP!
I have a 2010 Ram Sport QC 4x4 with the factory Alpine stereo. It has the RBZ 430 media center head unit with all factory speakers/wiring.
I had a line-out converter installed previously that tied to the front door speaker signal to power a 1000W amp that ran a 12" sub under the rear seat. I also had a switch running to the amp so that i could remotely control its output.
The setup worked great, for about 6 months...until a massive amoutn of static/interference started to come through the system. The static wasn't constant, but spikes continuously. I could not figure how to get rid of the static, so I decided to pull the LOC/amp/sub out.
I pulled all of the wiring, and rehooked the stock wiring and connections. Also reinstalled the factory sub/box.
However, after getting it back to the complete stock setup, the static IS STILL THERE! I'm baffled as to what is occuring here...and I have run out of ideas boys.
Any help? Thanks a bunch.
