Default dvd player not working

hi guys, i'm having an issuse with my factory dvd player in my 2010 dodge ram, it says its reading but nothing is happening, anyone else have this issue? Also has anyone noticed that there touch screen is hot to touch? any input would be great

Sorry, I cant help with that unit as I dont have it or even a truck close to that year but maybe try scanning over in the 4th Gen Ram section and see if anyone else mentioned anything?

Sounds as if the lazer diode is dirty or dead or it is not tracking.

Try getting some canned air and spraying inside the radio before you insert the CD. Sometimes dirt and dust can obstruct the lazer from reading properly or the unit from tracking properly. Stick the spray nozzle inside and sweep side to side. Do not insert the spray nozzle all the way in the radio, just about a quarter to a half inch in. Do not turn the can upside down.

If this doesn't help then it probably needs to be pulled and checked out.
