Lockpick CHR550 with 2012 RHR issue
would like to know if anyone else out there has installed the CHR550 lockpick on their 2012 RHR radio and is having this issue:
When I am in Ipod Out mode, the steering wheel controls on the left side do not function as expected. I am able to scroll up and down menu’s, select a menu item, select a track, but when a song is playing i am unable to skip ahead to the next track. This does work though when I am in Ipod MNL mode, i get the ability to skip tracks during playback fine in both Ipod operation and Pandora operation. I have tried tapping the up and down, Holding center (select) button and tapping up/down, Holding up/down and tapping select button, Nothing. Does not function during song playback.
I have been in touch with Coastal Etech engineering and they cant seem to find a reason for this but they are fairly confident it is a software issue and not hardware related. They are working on it to see what can be done.
They have said I am the first one to report this issue, so I would like to know if anyone has found this same issue. If so I would encourage communication with Coastal Etech so that they realize itis not an isolated incident.

Well, I have'nt spoken to Coastal Tech but I did order a lockpick V4 from an "authorized" Coastal Tech seller. I intended to order the CHR550 but he told me they were having alot of "bug" issues with that model and recommended the V4 instead. It did'nt sound to me like they were close to a fix either.

Wanted to tell you that I have the exact same issue. 730N RHR, CHR 550 with latest software all around. Everything seems to work except the steering wheel controls when in iPod out video mode. I can get it to bring up a genius menu when I do the "track skip" procedure of holding the left select and clicking the up or down buttons but it refuses to skip tracks.
I have contacted them twice now with no fix in sight. I wind up using Seek to move to iPod Manual mode which then allows me to skip tracks using simply the up/down buttons on the left side of the steering wheel, then moving back to iPod out.....but that is a huge PITA.
The only thing I didn't try was downgrading the software. Links to their USB update site don't work, but you can access them here:

They are the ones prefixed by VT10LCK0_ with 20z.VTF being the latest. Let me know if you ever hear anything or figure out a fix.
