Just today on the way home my check guage light came on and the battery level was high. The trunk ran fine the rest of the way home. I don't know if my after market stereo and amplifier cause the problem or not. The system was turned up hit hard when the light came on, and then I turned the stereo and amp off but the check guage light and battery level was still the same. When I got home I turned trunk off and back on everything was fine. Can somebody help me with this problem?

 

You had me confused with the trunk thing. lol. Does it do this frequently, or was it a 1 time thing?

A high powered stereo usually causes the voltage to drop not rise.......
