I recently bought myself a 2003 Dodge Ram 1500 SLT model. And I was wondering to get some ideas for a good after market radio to install. Thanks.

 

Are you looking for just a new deck only? or do you want to do speakers and subs, amp, ect?

what things do you want to have? Bluetooh, iPod in, Aux in, CD, HD radio, Satellite?

 

If I were you I'd visit crutchfield.com and browse the site. You can enter your truck info and it'll tell you decks and speakers that will fit your truck. If you find what you like, check eBay for a better price, though a lot of stuff on there is priced ok already, and they typically include truck specific harnesses and mounting brackets.

 

You looking for a Navigation/DVD style? Or a puny single din?..lol
Weedahoe makes double din bezels if you want a Navi/DVD type unit. Nobody else makes them and you'll otherwise be stuck with a single din puny unit.

 

Yes I'm looking for a new deck. I've asked around and many people say that a touch screen is not compatible with the '03 models. Is that true? and if so is there any getting around it?

 

As DirtyDog said, I custom make double DIN (touch screen) bezels.

Not than Im trying to talk you into one, but I certainly put a small and thin single DIN in a big and roomy truck like ours. It just doesnt look right IMO
