infinity system

Does the infinity system i have in my 99 dakota have its own amp to power the speakers?

i'd assume it's the same as my 00 dakota which did have a seperate amp, the amp was located behind the passenger side kick panel.

some of the ram and dakota infinity systems also had the amp mounted on the back of the speaker itself. usually held on by two small torx head screws

thanks for the info. i just wanted to know because the aftermarket headunit the previous owner had in it was broken so the dealer installed a pioneer deh-1600 which only has one set of preamp outputs and no subwoofer outputs, so if the speakers have a seperate amp then i cant put my two 10s i wanted to put in the center console.
