Default Uconnect/bluetooth question

I just bought a 2013 Charger last week with the uconnect 8.4. I paired my Droid X2 with the radio and it shows up connected. I can check the call history and go through the phonebook. When I attempt to make a call I don't get any response, just says calling... I've tried using the buttons on the touchscreen and the button on the steering wheel with same results. It's like the radio freezes and doesn't make the call. When it times out or I press the end button the radio loses connection with my phone. Sometimes I can get it to pair or reconnect from the settings screen but not always. This is my first time trying to setup Bluetooth in a car, but my phone works just fine with my earpiece Bluetooth. Any suggestions on how to fix this?

Thank you, I'll do that. I was hoping it was something simple. It was just built 2 months ago and I assumed everything was programmed with the latest and greatest.
