Hope someone knows the answer to this. I purchased an RBZ non nav radio out of a 2013 grand cherokee. It was a dealer removal and I am told it was reset to default code (1,2,3,4). Anyone have any idea what will happen when I put this in my vehicle? Will the code always remain 1,2,3,4? Or when it reads my VIN will it change to my existing radio code? I have a 2012 ram (I know got some fitment issues but I need to solve the code issues so I can sell or trade for the right radio. Spoke to the dealer who did the removal and they not sure.

Any help input is welcome.....changing radios should not be this difficult

 

managed to track down a parts guy who knew a little about the new systems. After a little explaining he asked for my ser number and then was able to look up the VIN from the original buyer and provide me the correct Anti-theft code! Glad I got the dealer name from the previous owner!.....
