Bluetooth Options?
The previous owner of my 2010 Dodge Ram 1500 installed an Advent LCDM42 backup camera, and in doing so removed the OEM mirror (with microphone). My radio is the DVD/MP3/HD/USB model without NAV.
Now that there is no microphone, of course I'm unable to use Bluetooth. I temporarily re-connected the OEM mirror to verify that everything works and that I can connect my phone and make calls. The problem is that I want BOTH the backup camera and the ability to make calls. I've see advertisements for an add-on microphone, but I'm wondering how difficult it will be to hook it up. Will it connect to the plug where the mirror was connected? Will I have to disassemble the dash to get to the back of the radio or the uconnect module?
