I have a 2010 Grand Caravan with the RER DVD/NAV/VES system in it. This morning the NAV would not start up and I could not get to any of my music stored in the radio. My UConnect phone pairing seems to be gone as well.

I suspect that the hard drive (or a related component) has failed. Looking online I think it will cost between $1200 and $2000 to get the radio replaced. I'm not going to do that.

Can the HDD be replaced? Anyone else had any issues with the HDD not starting? I searched the forum a bit and didn't find anything.

The VES system seems to be working and I can get music through the FM/AM/SAT. If nothing can be done I may just leave it that way.

 

Bringing a dead thread back. You can replace the harddrive. They say if you check to see how much storage is left and it says 0 then its completely failed
