Default Radio control buttons on back of steering wheel

I have a 2014 Dodge Ram 1500 Express with the Uconnect 5.0. On the front of the steering wheel I have the phone, menu for the dash, and cruise controls. On the back of the steering wheel there are covers that can be removed where the radio controls would go.
Am I able to add the radio controls to the back of the steering wheel? I have not found anyone that can even tell me if the wiring is there and I just buy and add the button controls?
Dodge says my connect is RA2 and that I can not add the buttons.

No way of knowing if the wiring is there until you take it apart and see.

Sorry, each wheel can be different. Look for some screws on the backside or covers that cover them

There are plastic covers on the back of the wheel. If I take them off should there be wires behind the covers or is the wiring farther down inside the wheel? Also will my radio even work with them if I put them in?

I do not have a 2014 so I do not know. You can either be the guinea pig and find out or buy an after market unit with a remote control and keep it simple
