Hello,

I've seen those. How did you wire them?

There's a red & black wire in the flex.
Red to + black to - I just parallel wired to existing door light circuit. If you have an interior light circuit that switches ground through the door switches, then you need red to a + source (fused of course) and the black wire can go to the door switch wire. Simple. Open the door, the door switch makes ground, light comes on. Another thing I am considering is liberally coating them (what's inside the door cavity) with plasti dip "liquid electrical tape" I use this in my job to protect PCB's from water damage in battery powered tools. https://www.plastidip.net.au/liquid-tape-electrical Its an Aussie web site, however I'm sure this is available globally, or something like it. |
