Hello,
I found these lights on fleabay.
Shines on the ground when you open the door... I bought 4 x for my '37 Dodge.

There's a red & black wire in the flex.
Red to + black to -
I just parallel wired to existing door light circuit.
If you have an interior light circuit that switches ground through the door switches, then you need red to a + source (fused of course)
and the black wire can go to the door switch wire. Simple. Open the door, the door switch makes ground, light comes on.
Another thing I am considering is liberally coating them (what's inside the door cavity) with plasti dip "liquid electrical tape"
I use this in my job to protect PCB's from water damage in battery powered tools.

Its an Aussie web site, however I'm sure this is available globally, or something like it.
