hey do you guys think that a jensen 340 watt amp can power 2 100 watt rms 12"subs? it is powering my single 100 12" now but I want another if it can handle it, without having to buy another amp. thanks

 

They would be powered but they wont hit near as hard. Haveing two subs doesnt always mean harder hits.

 

so should I just get another amp to have 2 subs or just get better single sub? i really just wanted the 2 subs for the looks and neon lights. but if it does not help me I will just spend money on better quality subs.

 

get either another amp to use in conjuction with your current one,
or,
get one rated past the 200 watts you'll need

two subs will hit plenty harder than one good one as long as you power them well enough

The thing is thought is that the common mis conception is that if you have two subs they will hit harder than one, a sub or SUBS will only be as good as the power they are getting.

 

I bet my one SX will hit harder than those 2 subs.

Port it get more dB - you hear the front & back of the cone & tuned to a Fq to rock your ride (28-35) maybe more if you want more SPL..

Get sobs with massive Xmax & an amp with a ton of power = super wanging system..
dont forget front stage..

Of course it will be louder with two, but you said two subs would be louder than one good one and that is jst not true.
