Default What size resistor to use for charging 1 farad cap?

I'm going to put my 1 Farad cap back in my car, but I've lost the resistor that came with it to use for charging. What size should I pick up from radio shack in order to charge it without blowing something up?

Thanks.

If you have a test light you can jst use that as long as it is not the l.e.d. type one. Jst wait for the light to get dim or go all the way out and it should be charged enough to connect.

50,000 ohm ceramic resistor is what you always get with a cap. Be careful, it gets BLAZING hot to touch. The previous guy had it right. I use an 1156 single element bulb. It's a back up lamp for most cars. That bulb and a $3 socket from Autozone and u have a great charger/discharger. Like the man said........just watch the bulb.
