i was doing some work on my truck today when i realized that the tweeters weren't working. The guy who owned the truck before me did some custom audio work, amps & subs. I'm trying to get the factory tweeters(infinity) to work in my 99' dodge ram 1500. I'm gonna say they are not hooked up... The driver side tweeter is yellow/black stripe & yellow/red stripe. The passanger is light blue/black stripe & light blue/red stripe. I tried to follow the wires however once they dissappeared into the harnesses it was hopeless. I can't find those wire combo's behind the deck. I'm not sure if they go to an amp first or if he cut them. Just curious if anyone has any info on the older infinity systems? i'd rather not run new speaker wires to the tweeters if i can avoid it. I've already run so much wire the last couple of days its not even funny heh...

any thoughts, thx guys.

 

Im pretty sure they crossover at the amp....

 

ya i figured as much. as i said the previous owner did a lot of hacking there's not much left of the orginal setup in the truck anymore. I got bored while i was waiting for the drill batteries to charge so i ran some new wires for them. thx for the reply though.

I know this is an old post but in case someone needs to know The driver side tweeter is yellow/black stripe & yellow/red stripe. The passanger is light blue/black stripe & light blue/red stripe and they go to the plug for the 6x9's behind the door panels
