Default Factory amp blew my deck??

Sorry if this gets long but heres what happened. i've had my pioneer deck running my tweeters and rear speakers and an amp running my door speakers. i cut the wires that go to the rear speakers at the wireharness on the stock amp and ran my own wires to the 4 channel amp i got static and then a message on my deck says "power ic damaged" and it has no output. i still plan to run the 4 channel amp for my speakers but, how did i blow my deck, and how can i wire the rear speakers without doing it again? thanks in advance

Did you use rca's or a line out converter to send the audio signal to the amp. Im kinda confused on how this was hooked up.

Did you cut the wires with the power still on? Did you cut them both at the same time and dead short them? Did they make contact with bare metal at all? All these situations are deadly for a small internal amp.
