I want to do a bit of custom work in my Neon and was wondering what I'd need to do to cover the carpet covered panels in fiberglass. I thought that maybe I could do a similar technique to custom sub enclosures. I just need to know how that technique works. Does it use a thin fabric and resin or am I completely wrong here? Any help would be greatly appreciated and I'll post pics of the finished product when I'm done. Thanks

 

Yeah, you would want to construct the intial setup from MDF or something like it. (MDF = Medium Density Fiberboard). Then you can use linen or chicken wire to create the bumps/curves. Then you slap down the resin. You can get everything from Home Depot. Make sure you get something to protect yourself from the fumes. Once you get fiberglass in your lungs, there's no getting it out..
