RAM 2500 IPOD Integration Kit
On my 2005 RAM 2500 4x4 Laramie I just finished up the install of the RB1 Unit with NAV - Piece of Cake.
I want to install the IPOD Integration Kit that I bought but ran into a small problem - First off since I have SIRIUS Radio I have to get the 10-10 Extension harness (which I didn't know and ordered today) and the wiring seems pretty simple but I have one question.
Where do you mount the Integration unit? It's pretty tight in there and you don't have that much slack on the wiring harness to work with.
Has anybody else installed this on a like vehicle?
Thanks,
Rob

Ive installed it on a Grand Prix and Toyora Matrix... how long is that cable like 4 ft right? I think you can just drop it under the dash and wire tie it to a support or velcro it... oops is this the Chrysler kit? if it is please disreguard

The OEM Harness only has two inches of slack which puts the IPOD adapter directley behind your radio which will not work because the opening is just large enough for the radio.
The 10-10 wirining harness extension (MOPAR Part #5191195AA) allows you to move the IPOD unit away from the back of the radio but it is so tight in the dashboard space is limited. I'm thinking I have to mount it on the back side of the glove box.
