Default Sirius Radio help

I have spent the past 2 hours looking through the previous post from a search and still did not find the info I am looking for so I thought I would ask... Forgive me if it is a repeat!! []

I just purchased a Sirius Sportster 4 radio and want to feed it to my 05 Ram radio - RBQ (6 disc in dash). Does this radio have an Aux input? Using the FM tuner results in some static. What would be the best way?

THANKS!!!!!

If it had an Aux. input - it would be looking right at you on the front side of the radio.
I think the only ones to have it (not sure) are some of the new styled radios with large *****.

if you get static, thats because your channel selected is either close to another station, or your antenna has some interference..
both of which I would think you'd have already tried..

have you tried taking the deck out and checking the back?, if there is an aux, it may not have the RCAwires, but just the RCAplugin right off the deck..

You can run the channel select up and down on the Sat. receivers all you want for FM transmission, but the way radio is now you'll get interference on them constantly. I have one of the original Audiovox units and it still works great after almost 6 years, but the interference gets worse and worse. Using an Auxilliary in is great if you have one, I've switched to using it on my Dakota, but I don't think the older stereos have one. The only other option you have is to try to keep the receiver/transmitter as close as possible to the vehicle stereo antenna as possible.

SCREW THE FM MODULATOR......

use this.......scroll down to the "CHYX"

http://peripheralelectronics.com/web/aux_in.asp

that will give you a TRUE AUX in....so you can bypass the crappy FM modulator built in to the sportster
