Default Amplifier remote turn-on...

Hey guys, I'm new here and just got a 2006 Dodge Ram Regular Cab 1500 Sport. I love the truck, and for now can only afford to install a 12" sub and amp I had in my last car. I have it all figured out except for 2 things:

1: Where is the best place to hook up the remote turn-on wire at the deck (stock deck)? The large plug coming from the back of the deck doesn't have a wire in the spot where the remote turn-on would be, I've verified it delivers 12 volts in that socket when I turn on the radio. Is there ANY other location I could get the same effect? Could I get an OEM style pin somewhere, crimp it on my amp's remote wire, then insert it into that socket? Am I over-thinking this? I want to do it right.

2: In a regular cab, with the amp under the passenger seat, would the rear speakers have the closest wires to get an input signal from? Thanks. ANY advice would be great, my brain is kind of fried after getting to this point.

Ya, I would jst use the rear speaker. As far as the remote turn-on lead goes...it basically can jst be any switching 12v power source.

well heres the safest thing you could do. in my old car i just added a wire into my fuse box. i found something that came on whenever i turned the key on. such as the radio fuse. just stick your remote wire in to the bottom part of the fuse. then when the radio comes on. it will relay 12 volts threw the remote line. and then if it doesn't come on then you might have to beef up the fuse such as a 10A to a 15A just to be safe w/ the extra voltage.

im not sure thats the safest way to do it, but it is one the possibilities...
theres actually a "peice" you can buy that will turn one fuse spot into 2 fuse spots with a lead coming out the "peice" for the newly added equipment". i know harbor frieght has them and i believe most auto parts stores will have them as well. but i would just stick with the wires on the rear of the radio.
