ok so I haev barely any time to get this thing in and going its just a sony cd in dash head unit, going into a 92 dakota. speaker wires are all hooked correctly to wiring adapter but no power why could this be? thanks

Did you use a harness adaptor? If so..as long as you spliced the same color wires together...it should work. If it doesnt try hooking the yellow to the battery...if that doesnt work then keep the yellow on the battery and jst try to put the red in a fuse in the fuse box that only comes on when the key is turned...Acttually b4 all of that you should make sure the fuse isnt blown in the radio. Also if you hook it to the battery make sure you FUSE THE WIRE!!

 

um yes I used a wiring harness that is for the truck, all the fuses are fine. i will try to run the wire from the radio to the battery thanks

 

ok got it going fuse under hood was blown that didnt seem to have anything to do with the radio thanks
