Those are your "Q" settings. Don't really mess with those. They are for fine tuning for RTA. It's so hard to tell the difference by ear that it's almost pointless without a meter. They adjust the actual frequency that your regular eq (High, mid, low) or however many bands you have on yours, will actually influence and sets a better curve, or "skirt" for your Q. Just press audio (don't hold) until you get to your regular EQ. The ideal setting would be completely flat, but that almost never happens, especially if you have factory components. So start the EQ flat and adjust each band up or down depending on what your system is lacking or overpowering.

Don't do the typical "smiley face" setup with low and high frequencies turned way up. Unless your system is horribly lacking in those 2 areas it shouldn't look like that.

I'm just sayin I wouldn't mess with them. And somone elses settings might not even be close to yours because it relies 100% on the speakers, and amplifier you have. I guess you would notice a difference if you moved the selected octaves value enough up and down, but then you're doing the same function as the regular EQ, just in a different way. Your just setting a differnt baseline for the other EQ to work off. But changing the selected frequency to a differnt octave you should'nt be able to tell a huge difference, and that's the main idea of that control.
