Stereo Question
I want to know what will make my subs sound better...on my head unit I can change the low, med and high frequency or what ever... it can go from 10 to -10, what should i set each one at to make it sound as good as possible.
That's impossible to answer over the internet. There are so many variables. It all depends on vehicle, radio, speakers, wiring, amps, and just normal variants. There is a correct way to tune a vehicle, but you have to tune each vehicle individually. Also, you shouldn't crank the bass up on your EQ to try and get more bass out of your subs. It should always be as flat as possible. By boosting any region of the EQ your more likely to create clipping (distortion). Plus it puts more strain on your interior speakers if you don't have any type of crossovers on them (which you should)
So to answer your question as best I can, try and keep the low level to as close to (0) or below as possible. If your subs still aren't as loud as you like and the gains are set properly then that's all it's got (safely). If you want more you're gonn need to upgrade.

Oh and the mid and high setting shouldn't have any effect on your subs. But again should be as close to flat as possible. But that usually never happens cuz most systems are lacking in some region or another and need to be boosted or lowered. In most cases though, if your EQ looks like a smiley face... it aint set right
