Ok so i just got a new DVD in-dash for my 1996 Dodge ram 1500. I also got some subs and an amp to go with it. The problem is my subs are only playing as speakers they aren't just playing as subwoofers. I have no clue what to do. On the back of the HU there are like 8 plugs. 4 for speaker outputs and 4 for video outputs and imputs. I figured all I had to do was plug the amp up to the Speaker outputs and It would convert it into bass sound. I've been playing with the settings on my amp but nothing seems to do the trick. HELP!!!

 

you need to look at your crossovers on your amp...turn on your high-pass filter...that should do the trick

 

Yep, sounds like you have using the high pass filter on the amp.
