Ok, so if you didn't know you can change the color of your factory displays to a light or dark blue by placing either a single or double layer of blue filter material over the screens...

here's the problem... while at night they look awesome, during the day they are very hard to see... now, we all know that the displays can be dimmed by turning the lights on, but can they be brightened? is there a resistor or something that regulates the power to them to control the brightness? if so, can this be isolated and replaced or bypassed to allow for more light to be produced?
