Audio Suggestions?
I just installed a new cd player and replaced all of my speakers. The cd player is a Sony Xplod and the speakers are Lightning Audio 225 watt 3-way 6X9's and Dual 100 watt 1-way 5.25's. It sounds pretty good. Any suggestions as to what I should do next? I listen to country and rock mostly if that helps any.

o and Sony is ALMOST the worst branf you can go with when it comes to Car Audio... sony is good in TVs and **** like that but NOT car audio... Alpine, JL, Poineer, ect.. are good, def not sony...
and to answer the guys question...
your next step IMO would be Save up some money, and replace those Duel 5.25s we give those away free at Best Buy with any deck purchase. They are 25$ speakers, if you added an amp to those i would give them 2 weeks before they blew, save up and get some infinity 5.25 for 60$ Infinity 3 way 6x9s for 90$ use the built in amp in the sony deck if it has one to run the infinitys if you dont want to spend 300 on a amp to run them, and then get a mono block alpine 400/600wat amp and get some type e subs...
I have 2x 10' Type E Alpine subs running off a 400wat amp v-power alpine and it sounds great. Just set the EQ right and everything will sound fine, also if you get a mono block amp, make sure to run in parrallel and bridge the amp to 2ohm...
I good system that would sound good for a long time is going to cost an easy 800+ depending on if you can install it yourself or not.
Speakers 6x9 = $90 ~ $150 depending on what you get
Speakers 5.25 = $40 ~ $70 depending on what you get
Amps = $200 ~ $300
Subs = $130 each
Box = $100
Deck = $100+
Extra Parts/Install **** = 100-200
Those prices are just a est.. i work at best buy in the car audio section i deal with this **** all day... all these kids come in here with 20 bucks thinking they can get a full system.. not going to happen, the subs alone are more then 200 if you get the ****iest ones... good sytem will run you about 800+ entry lvl.
