alright im pretty good with car audio but can i hook up a single voice coil 8ohm sub with a 4ohm amp (which would be bridged) ???? any help works.... thanks jake

 

Your amp will jst put out about half the power

 

thats what i was thinking too....... so just get a bigger amp.... lol

 

How many watts is the amp? Sub? You could get a bigger amp, or if the one you haveis say... an 800W amp and your sub is 400W You would be all set cuz it would get 400W. And you could even add another 8-ohm sub and each would still get 400W.

Even if that doesnt work out, why don't you just get a different sub instead of a different amp? Subs are a lot cheaper than amps are.
