for around 80 bucks shipped i would go buy the stuff an make it myself,but if ur no good at making boxes,yeah go an grab that box

 

Well, it doesn't say the thickness of the MDF. It basically stated something that could translate to this: "my house is made of wood". Thats nice. And what sub are you going to use/already have? Does the air space matchup? Does/will the sub require or prefer a sealed box?

 

A guy brought one of those same exact boxes into the shop a few weeks ago. It moved around a little under the seat, and we sealed it up a little better just to be safe, but overall, it was built fine. It was 1/2" MDF, but hey that's fine for a small to moderate setup. It sounded good when we were all done. Definately a fair deal.

 

Dont buy that, check out fox acoustics on ebay. You will pay more, but it is totally worth it trust me been there done the chessey ebay box. My fox box kills my last ebay mdf box hands down! Same amp same subs so much better!http://cgi.ebay.com/Vented-dodge-ram...QQcmdZViewItem

 

or you can just buy my fiberglass 2 10" woofer box from me for $450...

 

Your subs better match to the ported box, or it will sound like garbage.

 

You're comparing a sealed box to a vented box. Of course it's gonna be louder. Doesn'tmean the other box is junk. I do agree that there are scary things on ebay, but that box it built just fine,a nd for $60 you can't beat it.

I never said anything about being louder. It is louder however but it also sounds 100 times better! I never said theMDF box was junk.I have had the MDF ebay box and in my experience it was a waste of money. So that being said, I was just trying to help him not make the purchase that I regretted. Im not trying to be a jerk but I know first hand. That is what these forums are all about, helping each other out. I say these boxes arechessey because they advertised the MDF box I bought to be 2cu. ft. and there was no way this box had that amount of space, maybe the outside dimensions were 2cu.ft. So I am still a little p/o'ed because of the false advertisement. I am in no way affiliated with Fox acoustics just a loyal customer. Now,get on Dodge talk .com and search fox box and you WILL NOT find a complaint. Therefore that makes it in my opinion the best box for our trucks. I know 60$ sounds like a good deal but if it doesnt sound good your throwing your money away. Sorry if I upset anybody, I just dont appreciate somebody misreading my post and giving trouble for it! Again, I apologize.
