I would like to see the 4.7 V8 but I think the 4.7 is a waste of an engine when it doesn't good as good of gas milage as the HEMI. But I disagree about the V6. I would like to see a V6 if it kept the price down to around the same as a base model Charger. But for what I can afford I will most likely be buying an Avenger in the future.

 

I don't mind the v6 if it will be at least the new 4.0l instead of the 3.5

 

why use the 4.7 that only makes 235 hp when you can use the 4.0 v6 that makes 265 hp? even if you are talking about the HO 4.7, it will only make about 30 more horses than the 4.0 and is more expensive to make.

 

The 08 4.7 will make about 280 horse.

 

I thought it was 300+? Has it changed and I didn't know? Thought the 2007 version was 280 hp+.

if the 4.7 for the ram has 310 horses i might go try to blow my engine up so i can get one of the newer ones...thats not much less than the current hemi. and with the horsepower boost, you can bet there will be a bigger aftermarket for the 4.7 than there has been. at least for the newer models, i doubt they will make anything for the 04-07 models.
