My daily driver is an '05 hemi 300C. I love it. It is amazing to me how little they've changed the car since introduction overall. But then again, why mess too much w/ a winning formula?
I also get people asking me about gas mileage. I do a lot of highway and easily get 25mpg with the MDS. Not bad at all...and in class.

The story was, The US government outlawed Chryslers production of the Hemi because it had no top end. When it was run on the track there was nothing that could touch it.
Curious as to how much of the Hemi's genetics were transfered to this new generation.

Shock,
I have a '67 Hemi as well, and for brute power, there is no comparison...but hey, that 426 cubes vs. 345 and real hemispherical combusition chambers vs. flat tops with asimilar valve train. Overall, the new hemi is quite impressive, defintely more street friendly and an overall great motor. There is tons of debate and info on the differences between the two here and at other sites, but that's my two cents. The 6.1 version or 6.4 are even more impressive and I look forward to trying one in the new Challenger.
