Ford is supposed to release a 540 HP Shelby GT500KR about the same time the Challenger comes out.......

Dusty
True, but I saw Ebay pre orders for them in the $100,000+ range. Not exactly your everyday car!!!

same thing that happened when the 2005 mustang was released, and again when the gt500 came out...and the same thing will happen with the camaro
Very true!!! And remember that first year cars usually have 'issues'. The guys buying these SRT8['s $20,000 over sticker should have talked to a few GT500 owners that did the same and are now trying to sell their's for MSRP or lower. What a huge loss of cash in one year. Live and learn I guess....I'd wait either for the 2009 models and maybe end of year 2009. The 2007 GT500's that are still on the showrooms floors are selling close to MSRP but if you tried to buy them 9 months ago figure $15,000-$20,000 over MSRP. Be smart and you can have a great car!!!
I never buy a first year vehicle, no matter how much it costs......

I actually think the Chally may get even more interesting after the first year as Chrysler see somes real feedback from consumers and what they see owners doing to them. I'd expect to see at a minimum more striping options, perhaps wheel options...and hopefully a "shaker" scoop in there too. who knows... But the price will be less than now for sure.

Several good points. Remember when Miatas were priced $5k over sticker? Dealers were still selling all they could get.

I find it amazing that some people have so much money to throw at a vehicle just to be the "first in the neighborhood" to own one. I guess if you don't have a positive self image, you can always try to buy one........

How could you not regret blowing $20G to be the 'first'?

I think that ou are talking about the Shelby 350's I did not find any of the 07's left in dealer stock and the 08's are being distributed right now.

The Shelby 350 is just a 9995 upgrade that you or I could do for about 5k without the Shelby nameplate. If you know of somebody with a GT 500 that is having difficulty selling let me know and I would be happy to help that selletr to find a buyer at sticker
