The Viper in its current form has beenran at the Ring before, the ZR1 hasnt and the ZR1 goes out on its first try and smashes the record....
I'd say that's pretty damn impressive in its self...
ZR-1:General Motors conducted test, base specification car with stock tires and non-stock safety equipment, video confirmed
Viper SRT-10 ACR: Chrysler conducted test,Motor Trend confirmed, Hardcore Package option, non-stock race seat with a six-point harness, suspension alterations, aero adjustments, video confirmed...
Gee.....and all that got you 6 seconds faster....
