Chrysler launches diesel-powered Chrysler 300C SRT in Europe
Leftlanenews:
Chrysler has announced that it will be launching a diesel-powered version of its 300C SRT in Europe. However, the diesel version isn't exactly cut from the same cloth as the 425 horsepower 300C SRT8, as it's more of a visual appearance package than an all out performance package.
Despite the SRT nameplate, the 300C SRT will use the same 3.0L diesel V6 — rated at 218 horsepower and 376 lb-ft of torque — currently offered in the Euro-spec Chrysler 300C.
The SRT trim level is a part of the car's mid-life refresh that includes a revised rear fascia, new rear light clusters, a trunk lid spoiler and an updated interior.
The SRT package adds special badging and uses the SRT8's 10-spoke wheels.
We should see this car sometime in 2010-2011. Hopefully it'll get euro tweaked and those tweaks will make it back stateside
