Another truck forum has a discussion about whether the 1500 is going to offer 6 speed manuals with V-8's and as part of one response, a remark was made that the new SRT-8's are gorgeous and it was not clear if that was still part of the 1500 discussion or if he had wandered off to discuss the Magnum. I come here to get the straight answers. So......SRT-8 1500????? 6 speed manual 1500 V-8's ???? 6.1 1500's ????

I love the lay-out and performance options and so forth, but I totally think that in order for Dodge to DOMINATE the police and public safety market that they need to take the SRT package and engine (beefed and bored out HEMI) and create it for them. They need something that puts Ford back to the drawing board with their crash-and-burn Crown Victorias. As for that, Magnum is already in the Tes-Mule stages for this use, but doesn't have the upgraded Hemi. If you know the inside wire to the Corporate fellas, shake your fist so they can hear us all. We WANT the A38 Super-Dodge to rule the highways and byways again.

I don't know about ya'll, but I don't want Dodge to "DOMINATE" the police and public safety market. That would not be good.

 

i like that the cops use fords..gives the rest of us a fighting chance...

 

Lol, hell yeah, I agree. What fun is it running from the cops when they have a vehicle that could kick any other vehicles *** out there, least when they drive fords, you almost have an assured escape from them.
