that thing is hideous. that shifter looked like some horrid sex toy and this thing is almost taking on a smart car look. just put that car out of it's misery and stop making them so i have to see them on the road any more.
I have only driven my convertible Cruiser, and it rides as smooth as my 81 New Yorker Fifth Avenue, but handles as well as my 03 Neon. I have 2 lumbar discs that have broken into pieces and am currently waiting on surgery, so I know (and appreciate) a smooth ride. The interior quality is great; yes it's hard plastic but who cares, it is well put together. I agree it needs a makeover, but, according to Autoweek, it has only 4.5 feet less cargo area, with the back seats folded, than a standard Caravan, it gets 28 mpg on the hwy-23 city and it is the lowest price convertible in America. Does that answer all the silly quesions?
I dont care what anyone says..I like the PT! My parents have one and it rides smooth; has lots of room, and is sporty. I like the fact that its been around for all these years. Thats been the problem with Chrysler in the past several years. They design a new car or truck and make drastic changes or quit making it with in 2-4 years. They dont stay with anything for very long. I like the fact that the PT has been around for so long with minor changes. I mean take the Ford Ranger for example. Its been around for over 25 years with minor changes from year to year and its still one of the most popular little trucks.
Maybe because they dont think they are ugly, and I agree with them. There are far more uglier cars....like the PT wannabe Chevy HHR, Scion xb, Honda Element, and there are a few others that I cant name off the top of my head. It is a popular car. You are just one of the minority. If you dont like it then dont buy one, but a lot of people like them.
