Default Viper sales are up 111%

Subject:
Dodge Viper Announcement Summary

...... Summary: On Wednesday, the company announced its intent to conduct a strategic review of the Viper business with the goal to maximize the long-term potential of the Viper business.
This review is unique to the Viper specialty vehicle. We simultaneously notified employees,
dealers, the UAW, the media, and the Viper Club leadership. Following is a short analysis
of the media coverage and our key messages.

Media/Analyst Reaction: The Viper announcement received nationwide coverage with an overall neutral tone.
Coverage included a diversity of analysts’ opinions (e.g., 'a good move to retreat to core'
all the way to 'desperate for cash'). Significant comments:

- David Cole (Center for Automotive Research) - "Viper is not core. They're trimming down
to what is really core.”

- Tom Libby (J.D. Power) - "I don't think it's a crucial element for Chrysler... (these companies) have to become as efficient as possible."

- Mike Jackson (CSM) - "Chrysler has some greater priorities to tend to.”

- Bob Carroll (Viper Club of America) - "We've received a lot of assurances. They have every intention to continue the Viper brand."

Viper Announcement Corporate & Dealer Messages:

- For Dodge dealers, it is business as usual. Dodge dealers will continue to order and sell the all-new 2009 Dodge Viper.

- The company has not set a timetable for completion of the review, no decision has been made with regard to the Viper business, and there can be no assurance that any transaction will take place as a result of this process.

- "...Viper is an integral part of the Company’s heritage. While this is a strategic review, our intent would be to offer strong operational and financial support during any potential transaction, in order to ensure a future for the Viper business and perpetuate the legacy of this great vehicle.”

- Regardless of the outcome of the company’s strategic review, the company and dealers are committed to servicing, repairing, honoring warranties, and in all ways supporting our Viper customers.

- The company is focusing on its core, including improving fuel economy and quality, and its minivans, small cars, trucks, sedans, and crossovers.

Questions and Answers: Q1: Does this imply that other brands or products could be next?
A1: Chrysler does not have plans to sell other brands. The company is reviewing strategic
options with relation to the Viper business to maximize the long-term potential of the
Viper business.

Q2: What does this mean for the Dodge brand? And for SRT?
A2: The Dodge brand is in the midst of introducing an all-new icon and halo vehicle in the
Dodge Challenger -- along with the all-important 2009 Dodge Ram. SRT will remain
our in-house performance brand.

Q3: What happens to the Viper if no transaction results from the strategic review? Is 2009 the final year of the Dodge Viper?
A3: It depends on the outcome of the strategic review. The company has not set a definitive timetable for completion of the review, no decision has been made with regard to the Viper business, and there can be no assurance that any transaction will take place as a result of this process. Beyond that, we can’t speculate on future product decisions. The 2009 Dodge Viper is currently in production and will be available as ordered.

Q4: What happens to customers who own a Viper currently or buy one?
A4: Regardless of the outcome of our strategic review, the company and dealers are committed to servicing, repairing, honoring warranties, and in all ways supporting our Viper customers.

Q5: How is the Viper selling currently?
A5: The Dodge Viper is actually selling well, YTD up 111%.

Q6: If the Viper is sold to another manufacturer, will Dodge dealers still sell / service it?
A6: It is too early in the process to speculate what the future of the Viper will look like.
Until further notice, our Dodge dealers continue to sell the Dodge Viper and will
take care of customers who buy a vehicle from us.

Those numbers would be compared to the previous year. Everyone knew about the 08 coming out, the 06s stalled. That 111% number means nothing.
